Industrialization on World War 1 The impact of industrialization on World War 1 was one of the main causes for the damage done by each side. When World War 1 began, industrialization grew due to the need of weapon manufacturing and supplies. Factories needed to make an unlimited supply of weaponry for the front line. Mass production took place which helped with the need for jobs back at home. The newly improved weapons needed to be produced for the soldiers because without them the number of causalities wouldn't be as high.
